If you an an individual or an organisation (with group attending fewer than 6 people) please book one of our scheduled sessions. We offer two different types of Train the Trainer courses, both ideal for staff who help people with money issues but do not deliver debt advice. Money Coach Our Money Coach Train the Trainer sessions are aimed at staff who undertake financial capability work with their clients on a one-to-one basis. The training will help advisers develop new skills to help improve their clients’ financial wellbeing and resilience. After attending a Money Coach session, attendees will: Be able to deliver tailored financial capability support on a one-to-one basis Understand how to use a variety of resources and methods to promote financial resilience and wellbeing in clients Understand how to facilitate learning experiences to enable clients to develop knowledge and skills to deal with financial situations Work in partnership with the Money Advice Scotland Financial Capability team to share resources Talking Money Our Talking Money sessions are ideal for staff and volunteers who discuss financial topics with groups and individuals. Talking Money will help staff develop their ability to promote financial wellbeing in a group setting, with a view to empowering service users and focusing on long-term remedies. This course is aimed at staff who are not debt advisers, but who work with people who may experience money worries. After attending a Talking Money session, attendees will: Be able to discuss financial topics with groups and individuals Understand how to use a variety of resources and methods to promote financial resilience Be able to help promote financial wellbeing in service users Work in partnership with the Money Advice Scotland Financial Capability team to share resources Please note that Train the Trainer workshops do not offer training on benefits or debt advice.
