About Financial Capability

Our financial capability team works towards our aim of improving the financial health and wellbeing of the people of Scotland.

We deliver workshops to schools, colleges and workplace on various financial topics with the aim of helping people better manage their money, understand financial products and build financial resilience.

Our strategy makes clear that everything we do should be underpinned by evidence and engagement. For our financial capability work, this means that our interventions are co-designed with people who ultimately use the resources and attend our sessions.

Whereas financial capability can sometimes fall into the tendency of telling people what they need to know, our approach centres on asking people what they want to know.

We avoid the myths and misconception that so often surround how people manage their money, and instead adopt an innovative and progressive approach to improve financial resilience and wellbeing.
