High Schools Financial Education for Senior High School Pupils in Scotland As part of our Scottish Government–funded work, we are committed to making financial education accessible, engaging, and relevant for young people across Scotland. The need for this support has never been greater. Research by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) found that, as of 2022, fewer than half (47%) of young people aged 7–17 had received meaningful financial education. This gap is concerning given today’s increasingly complex financial landscape, and the risks young people face if they enter adulthood without the essential skills to manage money confidently and responsibly. To help close this gap, our Financial Wellbeing Team has developed a brand-new series of interactive, pre-recorded webinars designed specifically for secondary school pupils (S4-6). These sessions draw on our extensive experience of delivering financial education in communities across Scotland and combine clear, practical guidance with engaging activities to help learners develop skills that will last a lifetime. Webinar topics include: Money Management - smart budgeting and everyday financial choices Money and Work - payslips, pensions, and understanding income Online Safety & Online Banking - staying safe while managing money digitally Credit & Credit Files - what they are, how they work, and why they matter Understanding Household Bills - making sense of real-world costs Each webinar is designed to: Build confidence around money Strengthen decision-making skills Equip learners with the tools to develop long-term financial resilience How It Works Register your interest using the form below.
