It can be difficult to know where to go when you first seek help with debt or money worries. This feature aims to help you find a local, free, and impartial money advice agency. Simply type in your postcode or local area below to see a list of agencies, displayed in order of closeness to your postcode/area. 

A few things to note:

• Agencies will be displayed by proximity to the postcode you type in based on Google maps - please look at the full list to see if there is an agency that is more appropriate for you to contact (and zoom the map out for more options to be displayed)
• Many agencies operate on an appointment only basis, please contact the agency to arrange an appointment with them directly 
• The addresses listed for each agency are their main offices, your appointment may be in another location so make sure to contact the agency directly 
• Some of the local authorities listed mainly offer welfare rights advice (i.e. help with benefits)
• Please check the opening hours with the agency itself 
• Some agencies have phone numbers while others can be contacted through an enquiry form or email
• If no agencies appear in the list, zoom the map out a bit
• This tool is intended to be used as a guide - your most appropriate free money advice agency may not be displayed at the top of the list so please check the full list and the 'areas covered' section of the agency's page to make sure you are contacting an agency that can help

The map will show you local money advice agencies; however, there are also national organisations you can contact. If you are a housing association tenant, many housing associations have money advice departments.
