It’s important to note that if you pay by traditional prepayment meter, the discount is not applied automatically and there are additional steps you need to take to redeem the discount. Type of payment method How discount will be applied Direct debit customers A deduction to your bills will be made automatically. It doesn’t matter if you pay monthly or quarterly. Standard credit/payment card customers A deduction will be applied automatically by appearing as a credit (top up) to your account in the first week of the month (October 2022 – March 2023). Smart prepayment meter customers The discount will be credited automatically and directly to your smart prepayment meter in the first week of the month (October 2022 – March 2023). Traditional prepayment meter customers The discount is not automatic. You will be provided with redeemable vouchers in the first week of the month (October 2022 – March 2023) by post, email, or text message.
