Become a member

Membership of Money Advice Scotland is free and is offered on an individual basis to people working within the money advice sector and related areas.

Connect, contribute & influence

Becoming a member gives you opportunities to engage with Money Advice Scotland and the wider money advice community, take part in consultations and engagement activities, and access a range of member benefits. Individual membership also helps us engage directly with people working across the sector, understand the issues affecting them and the people they support, and ensure their experiences help inform our work.

Who can become a member?

We welcome applications from:

  • People working in the free money advice sector

  • Insolvency practitioners and private sector advisers

  • People working for third sector organisations in areas such as debt, housing, money and poverty

People engaging in conversation at a professional event or conference, with a focus on a man wearing glasses and a name tag, and a woman with long dark hair, in an indoor setting.

Membership is free

Membership is offered on an individual basis, rather than to organisations. If several people from the same organisation would like to become members, each person should submit their own application.

If you're unsure whether you are eligible, or would like to discuss multiple applications from your organisation, please contact us and a member of the team will be happy to help.
