Membership categories 

Membership falls into three categories:

Ordinary membership

Open to individuals and groups providing free, independent, impartial and confidential money advice to the public, with no commercial interest in the granting of credit or the recovery of debt. Ordinary members each have one vote at Money Advice Scotland AGMs.

Open to any other individual, group, business, or trade organisation that does not provide free money advice, but is supportive of Money Advice Scotland and our objectives.

Independent membership 

Open to individuals supportive of Money Advice Scotland and our objectives. Independent members are recruited by the Board of Directors based on relevant skills and experience. Each independent member has one vote at general meetings.
