Universal Credit for Money Advisers


This half day course is aimed at money and debt advisers with a high volume of clients who are on Universal Credit

Course Description

Note that this is an introductory course and is not suitable for Welfare Rights Officers or Benefit Advisers.

The purpose of the course:

  • To give advisers a grounding in Universal Credit and associated processes
  • To enable them to better advise clients using the welfare system.

Course Level: Introductory / Refresher

Additional details:

  • The course will start at 09.30a.m. and finish at 12.30p.m.
  • Tea/Coffee and biscuits will be served

Terms & Conditions


  • Confirmation of your application being successful in securing a place on the training course will be sent to you by email approximately 7 days prior to the date of the event.
  • Money Advice Scotland cannot acknowledge receipt of all application forms, however if you wish to confirm that your application form has been received please contact a member of the Training & Support Team on 0141 572 0237.
  • While Money Advice Scotland always endeavour to be as fair as possible in the allocation of training places, the final allocation of places will be at the discretion of Money Advice Scotland.


  • If any expenses are to be repaid by Money Advice Scotland, valid VAT receipts must be provided to ensure reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be sent by email to Money Advice Scotland ( no later than three days prior to the date of the event where an admin fee of £20 will be charged.
  • Any changes to the original application will incur an admin fee of £20.
  • Money Advice Scotland reserves the right to cancel any course at any time in the event of low take up or any other valid reason.
