Welcome to Money Advice Scotland’s new website – we’ve been working hard over the past few months to develop a new website that will allow us to showcase our work, enable people to engage with us, and provide a better experience for advisers and people in debt.

As an organisation we’ve grown both in size and impact over the years and needed a new website to reflect this. To help us achieve the goals set out in our 2018-2023 strategy and in line with a focus on combining our communications and policy work, our new website will offer features and resources for people in debt, those working in the sector, and people who want to learn more about what we do and why it’s important.

For people in debt

We know that taking the first step in getting debt help can be daunting, and we want our new website to make it easier for people to do this. The site will contain resources for people who need help such as debt terms explained, access to benefits calculator, and finding their nearest free money advice organisation.

For professionals

Our new website should make it easier for money advisers and other professionals in the sector to access resources, book training and engage with us. In line with our strategic aim to influence social and public policy, we’ll be ramping up our activity in this area and will use our website as a channel for advisers to report and discuss social policy issues and learn more about our policy and research work.

You’ll also now be able to book training online and we’ll continue to add new resources and features for advisers. We want to ensure our new website offers advisers everything they need – so let us know what you want to see here.

New content

As part of our goal to be more active with our policy and research work as well as our strategic aim of improving financial health and wellbeing, we want to share more content with advisers, people in debt, and policy makers. There’s a lot of impactful work happening across all areas of Money Advice Scotland and this new website will allow us to showcase this through blogs, case studies, research updates, and even allow people to share their own stories to be featured on the site.

We’re excited to finally launch our new site, and we’ll continue to add new features, content, and ways for you to engage with us. Comment below or get in touch via Twitter @moneyadvicescot to let us know what you think and what you want to see on the website.
