Tuesday 24th June 2008 Everyone is well aware of the so called credit crunch, creditors, money advisers, debt collectors and others are all feeling the impact of the growth of the debt problems across the UK. The Common Financial Statement (CFS) is a tool which has been in use by many individuals and organisations for some time. CFS is encompassed within the Debt Arrangement Scheme as a benchmark for income and expenditure. It has recently been revised and launched, and, this seminar affords the opportunity to discuss the updated CFS, and how it fits into good practice. This half day seminar is aimed at practitioners, creditors, Insolvency Practitioners and others involved in debt counselling, debt adjustment, and debt collection. Professor Glen Bramley and a team of researchers at Heriot Watt and the University of York have been asked to conduct research with applicants to the Scottish Government’s Mortgage to Rent (MTR) scheme (formerly run by Communities Scotland).
