Welcome to Issue #803Conference 2008
We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting bookings from delegates for the Money Advice Scotland Conference 2008. The theme of our Conference this year is "Health, Wealth & Happiness" and will be taking place once again at Crieff Hydro Hotel on 22nd & 23rd May 2008. The Conference as always will be particularly of interest to at all those involved in money advice, banking, credit, debt collection and insolvency. Keynote speakers will include Professor Elaine Kempson CBE and Stewart Maxwell MSP. This years workshops will include, The Elderly and Financial Abuse, Mental Health and Debt, Bankruptcy and Diligence Act 2007, Consumer Credit Act 2006, Illegal Moneylending, Collection Techniques and Gambling. As always we will be allocating a limited number of subsidised places. These are contingent on Membership Category and type of organisation and will be sold on a first come first served basis. After last years successful Hawaiian themed Gala Dinner, we asked delegates to give us some ideas for a theme for this years Conference and the popular vote has dictated that this years theme will be "Denim & Diamonds". On a more light hearted note, we will be continuing the fun of our themed Gala Dinner Event. After taking votes this years winner was "Denim & Diamonds" so dust off your glitz and dig out your denims and prepare to have a bit of fun! We will be continuing to add more content to the Conference Website so remember to keep checking for regular updates.
