Money Advice Scotland (MAS) was set up in 1989 courtesy of a grant from the Scottish Consumer Council as the umbrella organisation to represent individuals and agencies involved in all areas of money advice (debt advice).

A date for your diary! Money Advice Scotland will be hosting a mental health seminar on Thursday 11th December 2008. Speakers include Hilary Patrick (University of Edinburgh) and Colin Trend (Money Advice Plymouth) The seminar will cover the following:

• The legal background to mental health in Scotland - a lawyer's viewpoint
• Practical solutions to dealing with clients - an adviser's viewpoint
• Mental health and debt and the use of the new Mental Health evidence form
• Case studies for discussion

The above Centre is one of the major providers of the Advice and Guidance Scottish Vocational Qualifications in Scotland. We offer the Advice and Guidance qualifications at Levels 3 & 4. We can also offer the Personal Development Award in Money Advice.
