FULL members of Money Advice Scotland offering free, independent, impartial and confidential money advice can register as an HMS approved agency. In order to do so, you must first undertake training on HMS and read and familiarise yourself with the HMS adviser pack.
Training can be done online through the distance learning package on HMS available on www.wiseradviser.org
On the home page in the “Browse for training” box, click on “Type II”
Click on “Homeowners Mortgage Support Learning Pathway”
Click on the “Introduction: About This Course”
When pop up box appears, click “Request”
Click “Register”
Click “Launch”
Click on the link to view/download PDF document
Repeat the steps above for each module. There are 5 modules in total.
Once you have completed all 5 modules, to receive your HMS start up pack, you must send an email to Michael Donnelly: m.donnelly@moneyadvicescotland.org.uk requesting to be placed on the HMS register.
