The world of collections is facing significant challenges. With an increase in unemployment, real incomes reducing and record levels of debt, many creditors are struggling with the competing challenges of how to increase cash collections, reduce bad-debt and minimise operating costs whilst achieving customer satisfaction appropriate to their brand. More and more customers are falling into debt for the first time – creating unfamiliar and uncomfortable emotions which can ultimately affect mental and physical health if not resolved.

Money Advice Scotland is hosting a major conference on the topic of Gambling-related harm and debt. The Conference, is a MUST ATTEND event, and the first of its kind in Scotland. It will be chaired by Liz Barclay, Journalist, who is also an Ambassador for the Money Advice Trust.
We are delighted that Kenny MacAskill MSP, the Cabinet Secretary for Justice has agreed to open our Conference. Other speakers invited include representatives from the industry, treatment organisations, health specialists and money advice. The event is supported by the Responsible Gambling Fund and sponsored by Experian and Stirling Toner.
