Financial Capability E-Learning Module

The E-Learning Module was designed to help improve the financial capability of people in Scotland. The module will be of use to you or your organisation, if you are or have contact with any of the following groups: People in Financial Difficulty, People in Bankruptcy, Young Adults (16–24 years), Employed, Redundant and Unemployed, Expectant Parents or Tenants and Homeowners. 


This module has been developed by Money Advice Scotland in conjuction with The Money Advice Service and The Accountant in Bankruptcy (AIB).

There are eight individual modules to choose from which you can access from the main page:

  1. Budgeting and Financial Planning
  2. Saving
  3. Borrowing
  4. Insurances
  5. Understand the importance of paperwork
  6. Financial Life Stages - Setting up Home
  7. Financial Life Stages - Having a Baby
  8. Financial Life Stages - Redundancy


The E-Learning Module will be delivered in one of the following three ways:  

  • Provision of an online link to E-Learning Module for Individual Learners  
  • Tailor Made Training – delivered directly to groups  
  • Training for Trainers – our team will train your staff to deliver the E-Learning Module
